Professor Andrew Douglas

Andrew has a wealth of procurement experience in a career spanning over 30 years. His previous roles included Vice President of Supply Management for Honeywell across Europe. This covered 14 manufacturing sites and 50 sales offices across 23 countries with a total external spend in excess of $5 billion.
As well as having a European purchasing responsibility he was also was a member of Honeywell’s Global Supply Management Board and led many of their worldwide initiatives. He has also held senior procurement positions at Oracle, Westinghouse, Hawker Siddeley and Invensys. He now spends much of his time advising business leaders in both the public and private sectors on strategic and operational aspects of procurement.
A sought after speaker Andrew has been appointed a Professor within the School of Strategy and Operations Management at the University of the West of England / Bristol Business School where he lectures and carries our research in the field of purchasing and supply. Andrew initiated the highly successful I- series of research projects with The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply & University of the West of England. This research has been accessed by over 30,000 purchasing practitioners and Academics based in 32 countries worldwide.
